MANDVI & ABHISHEK
January 2025 / A Real Wedding Story from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh

Some love stories don’t begin with grand gestures. They begin quietly between college lectures, shared notes, missed classes, and conversations that never felt long enough. This is the story of Abhishek and Mandvi, a couple who met in college, became best friends before lovers, and eventually chose a forever that honored two cultures, one home, and a love that grew slowly but deeply.
College Corridors & Unexpected love
They met in college naturally, without any rush. What started as a simple friendship soon turned into daily conversations, often disguised as discussions about studies and notes. Funny how the guy who barely attend classes a month suddenly started showing up every single day, with full attendance.
Abhishek was the most popular guy in the batch known for his good behaviour, dancing skills, cricket talent, and kind heart. On the other hand, Mandvi, was the shy girl who spoke only to a few close people. Yet, he never tried to impress her by being someone else. He was simply himself and that honesty made her feel safe.
They became best friends first. When he confessed his feelings, Mandvi took her time. But whenever she was with him, time slipped away unnoticed. And every time she returned to her room, her heart felt heavy, with one song echoing softly— “Aisa kyun hota hai, tere jaane ke baad…”
Love in the Smallest Places
Their dates were never fancy. No expensive cafés or planned outings.
Bus stands. Walks around college. Sitting near an ATM.
Just endless conversations and laughter.
They supported each other like partners long before they knew they’d be married. They prayed for each other’s placements as if they were their own dreams. When Abhishek finally said, “I got placed,” Mandvi was the happiest person alive until he added that he had to move to Delhi.
She smiled for him. Cried for herself.
Happy tears and sad ones together.
Her best friend was moving away.

Long Distance, Stronger Love
They chose patience. Trust. Understanding.
Long distance didn’t weaken them it refined them.
Soon, Mandvi moved to Delhi too. Weekends turned into little adventures, nearby trips, laughter-filled memories some romantic, some funny, all unforgettable. Years passed, and they never realised how deeply attached they had become.
When Mandvi later moved to Mumbai, Abhishek surprised her one day no reason, no occasion. Just love. Even from different cities, their emotional connection never faded. But when he saw her falling sick and crying, they both knew distance was no longer enough.
So they chose each other again and moved to Pune together.
From “I Don’t Believe in Marriage” to “I Believe in Forever”
Mandvi had always been deeply attached to her family. Seven years ago, if someone had asked her about marriage, she would have clearly said,
“I don’t ever want to get married.”
The love her family gave her felt impossible to match.
Small things meant everything to her
When she asked Papa for one chocolate, he brought ten.
When she fell sick, both dadi’s kept checking on her.
Mummy protected her like a doll.
Dada’s scolded her, but loved her twice as much.
She never imagined she could feel that kind of attachment for anyone else.
Until Abhishek.
Today, when she says family, it automatically includes him.
He pampers her, protects her inner child, fulfils her smallest wishes, and makes her feel safe
Just like home.
